Eto'o Signs up FC Barcelona to Make Roads Safe

Barcelona Football Club has signed up to the Make Roads Safe campaign and urged fans to sign the petition to the United Nations.

Launching the Make Roads Safe campaign at FC Barcelona’s training ground, Campo de Barça, with the RACC Foundation, Barcelona’s star striker Samuel Eto’o signed the petition and confirmed his personal support and the Club’s for the campaign. In a statement released by the Club, FC Barcelona call on the 62nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly to back a UN Ministerial conference on global road safety.

Samuel Eto'o commented: "I am very happy to be able to provide my help to this campaign with the aim of reducing road accidents and saving lives."

Cameroonian Samuel Eto’o was African Player of the Year in 2004, 2005 and 2006, and picked up third place in the FIFA World Player 2005. He is a full international and one of the outstanding players in the Cameroon team with a huge popular following in his country. A UNICEF Ambassador, he has also established his own Eto’o Foundation to help children in Cameroon.
