South Africa's Transport Minister Gets the Message

Make Roads Safe campaigners in South Africa have met with the country’s transport minister, Jeff Radebe, to promote the recommendations of the Make Roads Safe report.

During the meeting Mr Radebe agreed to discuss the Make Roads Safe report with the South African President, Thabo Mbeki, with a view to South Africa promoting road safety as an issue of concern for the global community. Every year more than 10,000 people die on the roads in South Africa.
